Great design doesn't happen in a vacuum -- collaboration is key to creating experiences that resonate with customers and deliver value to your business. Sticky notes are useful during all stages of the collaboration process, from strategy and design through development. However, few teams know how to make the most of these simple yet powerful tools to effectively and rapidly organize group work.
Who is this workshop for?
For design leaders, business managers, team leads, or anyone responsible for facilitating leading group work need the skills to foster participation and guide a group to decisions. In this session you’ll take your group collaboration skills to the next level with a set of methods that maximize the potential of sticky notes.
What will this seminar cover?
In this seminar we’ll cover 8 simple, flexible and impactful methods that help you discover new ideas, unpack problems, document workflows, identify issues & opportunities (and what to do about them) and keep everyone, from business folks to development teams, in sync and on target.
Armed with only the most humble of office supplies (sticky notes and sharpie pens) we’ll work through these major collaborative challenges:
* Unpacking problem and opportunity spaces
* Brainstorming lots of ideas and prioritizing the best ones
* Building consensus for shared direction
* Making sense of complex workflows
* Delving into the roots of a problem so that you can solve it appropriately
* Creating idea constellations that spark new approaches and directions
You will learn:
* how to lead a group in collaborative sticky note sessions
* how to pick the right method for a specific problem
* how to organize a workroom for maximum collaborative success
* keys to quickly and easily document workgroup results
* how to work asynchronously via sticky-note boards

You'll participate in the seminar through an online presentation on your web browser. The technology works on both PCs and Macs. We encourage you to share the seminar with your colleagues on a big screen. Feel free to wear your pajamas if you're at home (we can't see you!).
